The VAG O2Q Gearboxes suffer with an array of faults but most commonly clutch failure in the later models causes damage to the clutch housing which in turn causes the oil to leak out of the gearbox and subsequently burn out the gearset due to lack of oil. 2nd only to this fault is excessive play in the input shaft
